The Fall Guy can be best described as a love letter to Hollywood’s unsung heroes; The stuntmen and women.

David Leitch – a former stuntman- tells us the story of Colt Seavers (cool name right!) a recently retired stuntman who has just recovered from a stunt gone wrong must help find the movie star of his ex-girlfriends film and save the shoot, getting into some action filled and at times pretty funny trouble along the way.

This film really does have it all; a good storyline, great comedic timing, bad-ass stunts and a dog that only obeys French commands. Gosling once again makes the role his own and is bloody brilliant, a clear film buff who just like everyone has his awkward side, especially when the girl he loves comes into it (him singing along to Taylor Swift whilst heart broken is far too relatable).

One thing I really love about this film is how meta it is. It lets the audience know that it is a film about making a film. When they are talking about split screens and using a split screen. Prop weapons are used in actual fights and stunts Cole has had to master from previous films come in handy.

If you’re someone who loves films like me then you’ll appreciate all the little cinema nods that are dotted throughout as well as the stunts that make you want to take up the profession! (just kidding I’m a wimp). Then this is the film for you! Its an easy watch and a great time, it definitely has something everyone will enjoy!
