It’s easy to say that the first twenty minutes of this film has to be the most confused I’ve been by a movie in a long time. However I persisted and am very glad that I did so.

This film is essentially Ground Hog day but what any normal person would do if they found themselves in the situation. Andy Samberg plays Nyles who seems be incredibly unbothered by everything going around him (even though he’s at his girlfriends, best friends wedding) and seems to know what’s going to happen throughout the whole day.

Our other main character is Sarah, played by Cristin Milioti. She’s the sister of the bride and the mess of the family. We see her struggle throughout the day and really not want to be there. However once her and Nyle become closer. Sarah follows him into a void and is rapidly blasted back to the start of the day she is sure just happened, when she realises it has she goes straight to Nyles to find out what’s going on.

We learn Nyles has been there for goodness knows how long, he has lived every version of the day possible and tried any way he can to get out of the loop. He has now given up and doesn’t care about anything. I feel that even though its a comedy. This is very realistic compared to other versions of this story. In the end if you didn’t find a way you would just give in and stop caring.

I also like how the film doesn’t just last a few days but clearly months or possibly even years pass in order to find a solution to their problem and even though Nyles has given up hope, Sarah hasn’t and goes to stream measures to help them get back to normal life.

Another character that appears is Roy, an uncle from the wedding who also got trapped in the time loop and blames Nyles, hell bent on making him suffer they way Roy has to suffer now. I think Roy’s character is a good addition as well as some people would defiantly have this reaction to the situation as well.

I’m not going to lie, this film is one of the crazy, more confusing that I’ve watched but very interesting and funny non the less and I would recommend if you want an easy and fun watch. It’s available on Amazon Prime video now!
