Now when I first saw the trailer for this film, I wasn’t sure what to expect as it is very much another modern day version of Romeo and Juliet, however I feel they did this all right. There was a good amount of friendship still there that they developed into a relationship instead of them just diving right in and making it feel fake.

I also loved the dynamics of the families. The two men playing pranks on each other and thinking they are the boss’, when both of their wives come in and tell them otherwise. I also love that the wives are still friends and they just pretend not to like each other to keep up appearances.

I really liked the characters of Nikki and Leo. I feel like they were the right amount of different but similar. I think they had really good chemistry and we were routing for them right from the start.

Of course there were some of the classic rom com cliches like Nikki moving to London for her job, the two side characters that work at the families restaurants end up together, there being a proposal and a wedding

Overall I would highly recommend this film, its such an easy watch and perfect for a cosy rainy day film.
